About the Recipe
As fast foods go, I don't think there are many to compare with a tuna mayo onigirazu with some fresh avocado. Once you have some fresh rice to hand, these babies can be wrapped and ready to go in minutes.
Ingredients
100g cooked japanese rice
1/2 can, tuna
1/2 small avocado
2 tbsps mayo
2 sheets nori
some plain flour for dusting
black pepper
salt
some veg oil for frying
Preparation
mix the mayo, tuna, pepper and salt together
slice the avocado into 8 - 9 slices and set aside
to make the onigirazu, place a sheet of nori onto a sheet of clingfilm with one corner at the bottom and one at the top
spread 1/4 of the rice over the centre of the nori
add 1/2 of the tuna mayo & 1/2 of the sliced avocado on the rice,
spread another 1/4 of the rice on top
now take the bottom and top corners of the nori and close over the filling
next take the right and left hand corners and close thos over the top
form into a square parcel using the clingfilm
cut in half using a sharp knife
