About the Recipe
Chicken, beef, tofu, salmon - you name it, teriyaki sauce complements it brilliantly. I make this sauce more than any other in my kitchen. You can prepare it in under 20 minutes - like yakitori sauce, keep it a little bit loose in consistency so it bastes as well as flavours your food.
Ingredients
6 tbsp soy sauce
6 tbsp japanese cooking sake
3 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp mirin
Preparation
combine the the soy sauce, sake sugar & mirin in a pan.
bring to the boil and simmer for 6-8 mins until the sauce thickens slightly
remove from the heat
